Central Mass ASTD Events: Jim Robinson Presents here in May!

As organizations become more complex, so does the role of the Performance Consultant. What are business leaders expecting of Learning, OD and HR consultants? What emerging trends will impact Performance Consultants in the future? Using research from a new book co-authored with Dana Robinson, Jim Robinson will describe the three levels of accountabilities that have enabled many Learning, OD and HR professionals to work as strategic partners with the leaders of their organizations. What are the challenges to becoming a strategic partner? He will discuss the experience and capabilities that prepare an individual for this challenging role.

An award-winning consultant, Jim is well-known as a pioneer in the areas of human performance improvement (HPI) and performance technology. He has has consulted with numerous Fortune 500 organizations including The Gillette Company, Penn National Insurance, Sovereign Bank, and the YMCA.

The Central Massachusetts Chapter of ASTD will bring performance consulting leader Jim Robinson to Worcester State College this May. This is a special opportunity for anyone who improves performance of his or her people through training or organizational development.

    • Evening Dinner Meeting on May 11, 2005
    • Day-Long Workshop on May 12, 2005

National ASTD Human Performance Improvement Program (HPI) Offered Locally
    ASTD Logo

HPI comes to New England! The Center for Business and Industry at Worcester State College has partnered with the Central Mass Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (CMASTD) to present the only New England offering of the Certificate in Human Performance Improvement (HPI).

The goal of the HPI program is to help professionals transition from a classic training environment to one that encompasses a variety of human performance improvement interventions. The HPI program delivers cutting-edge information that no other program covers as thoroughly. Upon completion of the program, practitioners will be able to identify the training and non-training interventions needed to close performance gaps in their organizations. And, for those practitioners who continue on in a classroom training capacity, this program will enable them to make recommendations about non-training activities that will further their classroom efforts and increase the value of those training efforts to the organization.

Chris is pleased to announce that she will be co-faculty lead for this upcoming HPI program!
