INTERVIEWING

Competency-Based Interviewing is a 1-day workshop for anyone with responsibility for interviewing potential job candidates. During the program, you will develop a list of Core Competencies for positions in your organization and will upgrade interviewing skills using behavior-based interviewing techniques in order to reduce hiring decisions made by "gut feeling."

VALUING DIVERSITY:
MANAGING IN A MULTI-GENERATIONAL WORKFORCE

Generations tackle the complexities of effectively working in and managing a multi-age workforce. This program provides insights and strategies that will minimize generational conflict, promote respect and strengthen communication and collaboration to make any workplace more productive. This two-part series contains the 29-minute Generations: M.E.E.T. for Respect main program for all employees and a 15-minute Managing Generations specifically for managers.

Six thought-provoking video vignettes illustrate the most common generational issues in the workplace:

  • Use of technology
  • Work ethic and loyalty

The workshop activities will help employees understand each generation’s unique characteristics and helps explore how to effectively handle miscommunications and misunderstandings that impact productivity and organizational dynamics.

ADVANCED COACHING

This course will include a brief review of the DiSC® concepts which will be the basis for identifying one’s strengths as a manager and learning more about one’s management and leadership style.

DiSC®-based Coaching Action Planners will be used as part of a Key Contributor exercise which will provide resources and time for managers to focus on a key contributor on their team, how to best work with that person’s style, and help determine the level of willingness and ability of each team member. Based on this data, the participant learns how to select a management style that is a “best fit” for each team member.
