Dale Kelley

Dale Kelley is the founder and President of CBG Training and Development, a New York based organizational training and consultant firm which specializes in “People Skills” with an emphasis on Leadership, Customer Service and Sales. 

Throughout his career, Dale has helped people to develop the essential skills and attitudes needed to sell products, services, ideas and most important, themselves. He believes that sometimes we, ourselves, can be our toughest customer, and when we move beyond our own limiting beliefs, we can achieve awesome results.

Dale began his professional career more than 30 years ago as a salesman with the 3M Company, Business Products Division. After honing his selling skills there, he joined the Anheuser Busch Co, Marketing Division where he was instrumental in the start-up of their National Sales Training Institute in St Louis, Mo. He was then promoted to a District Marketing Manager position on the East Coast and remained in the Beverage Industry until 1985. The entrepreneurial spirit beckoned him and he embarked on a career in Commercial Real Estate, where he was a consistent top producer in sales and marketing. In 1995, New York’s Governor, George E. Pataki, appointed him to oversee Real Estate and Property Management operations for the Office of General Services. He was responsible for one of the worlds largest Real Estate portfolios of over 30 million Square Feet. 

Dale presents a fresh approach to self-motivation and self-improvement via his own life experiences and techniques which have served him well over the years. Dale’s thought provoking insights, contagious enthusiasm, positive energy and humor make him one of today’s most dynamic and sought after trainers and speakers.

Achievements
As Deputy Commissioner in New York State overseeing one of the worlds largest Real Estate portfolios (30 million Square Feet), Kelley knows first hand that impeccable Customer Care and success go hand in hand.

Implemented one of the first ever Customer Relations Management programs in Government at the Office of General Services, NYS. The program resulted in a 38% increase in Customer Satisfaction.

As a civic leader, Kelley has served on boards of directors of Capital District YMCA, Downtown Albany Business Improvement District, Saratoga County Arts Council, Commercial Industrial Real Estate Brokers of the Capital Region, The Chamber of Commerce of Southern Saratoga County.

He was twice elected to the Town Council of the Town of Clifton Park, NY served as Deputy Supervisor, member of The Planning Board and most recently as Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals.
